With spring in the air and the weather warming up, there have been some very fast times for the flying one lap time trial, including a number of personal bests.
Ben Castle has been a consistent improver since joining the club four months ago, and on 20 September joined the Sub-2 Club with a time of 2 minutes even. Well done Ben!
Karlee McMillan (2:05) and Alex Reid (2:07) also recorded personal best times on 13 September and with some good training over the coming months will no doubt improve even further. Youngster Sam Jenner is also riding well, with times consistently in the 2:20’s for a personal best of 2:20 several weeks ago.
Gillian Backhouse, Cody Burton, Rogan McPhie, and Angus Swan are consistently recording times in the low to mid 1:50’s, while Reece O’Hara is in the high 1:40’s.
“Senior” juniors Craig Burton and Simon Reid are by no means being left behind, recently recording times of 1:56 and 1:57 respectively.
It is also good to see some returning riders who have been playing other sports through the winter, including Will Allom and Britt Sisson, and new riders trying out racing for the first time, such as the youngest Burton brother Reece, and Joss Guyer.
