13-14 December proved to be an interesting weekend for Armidale cyclists. Following on from his success in the Clarence Street Cyclery Cup last weekend, Mitch Bullen finished in second place in the NSW U19 Sprint Championships on December 6 behind Jamie Green of Wagga (they breed them tough down that way).

In a fantastic result, Mitch Bullen won the Clarence Street Cup held at the Dunc Grey Velodrome on 29 November 2008.
Now in its 27th year this is one of the most prestigious races on the NSW track cycling calendar, with previous winners including Australian representitives such as Athens gold medallist Graeme Brown and Ben Kersten.

With up to 200mm of rain in Tamworth causing serious flooding on Saturday, the planned interclub meeting had to be cancelled.
Despite the bad news, a small group of riders showed up at the track and had an excellent day of racng, with juniors and seniors competing together for a number of events.
