I guess you can’t blame people for saving a little for tomorrow. The “Hell of the North West” has a tendency to turn grown men into sobbing wrecks. Even still, motivation for racing on Saturday was hanging lower than Phil Bookallil’s saddle bag.

Mark Bullen reliably informs me we have 37 starters from around the district for the 100km race and 24 for the 40km race - not too shabby.
Having said that, we need some helpers. 9 people and 6 cars. A lead and follow car for each race and a race turner to man the turning points. [...]
