Col Maciver made it a clean sweep today when he added victory in the 18km ITT to his two earlier gold medals at the 2014 NSW State Masters Championships in Griffith this weekend. Racing in Masters 9, Cols time of 27m:02.81s was also faster than the Masters 10, and Masters 7 winning times and would have seen him on the podium for silver in the Masters 8.
Earlier in the weekend Col won the Masters 9+ 51km road race after embarking on a solo break-away on the second of three 17K laps to score victory with a comfortable margin of 2m:20s. He followed that up with victory in the criterium the next day on what was quite a remarkable weekend for the Armidale rider.
Next weekend Col travels to Ballarat in Victoria for the Nationals which features another criterium and road race – good luck Col and well done on a fantastic result at the state championships – can’t wait to see that winners road race jersey when you’re back in town!
