Easter rides

April 3rd, 2012 · No Comments

For those of you looking for a ride over easter, the plan is to meet at the bike shop 7am on any day.

On friday we can do the usual Uralla ride of 70km, but if you are interested in a longer ride there will be a group turning right at Rocky River and heading for Mt Yarrowyck and back to town over the Pinnacle. This is a 100km ride so bring some food.

Orica Kermesse: Armidale riders results

April 2nd, 2012 · No Comments

Sam “The Jennerator” Jenner and Dave “Fingers” Rugendyke competed in the Orica Kermesse this weekend down in Newcastle.

J17: 1st   Samuel Jenner Armidale

C grade: 5th David Rugendyke Armidale CC.

Big effort there from Sam - Lots of riders in that event who come up from Sydney and elsewhere in the state to race it. Good to see Fingers getting in the money as well!

Formal results should be posted here: http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/default.asp?id=31409

Jennerator lights up Shepparton

April 2nd, 2012 · 1 Comment

The 2012 Schools Cycling Cup was held down in Victoria last week, with Sam Jenner posting some impressive results in the U16 “male expert” category.
The event was held at Dookie, Mt Major and Shepparton in Victoria from the 27th to the 29th of March.

The results can be found here: http://www.schoolscyclingcup.com.au/
Quick check reveals that Sam raced U16 “Male Expert”, he was 5th in the hill climb, 4th in the time trial, 2nd in the road race.  As far as I know he didn’t compete in the mountain bike disciplines.  I’m not sure how to work out whether there was an overall prize as Cycling Australia or Cycling Victoria haven’t put up a formal press release that I can find.
Well done again Sam!
