Bourke lurk smirk

Chicka smack!

(Sounds like that music coming out of those nasty little imported cars with the huge rims and a hat-backwards driver with his seat recline broken.)

Adam Bourke wins the handicap on Long Swamp road last Saturday by out-climbing Chicka Russell on the final climb for a decisive victory.

Newcomer Chris Stace joined the Go group and, despite being promised he would be looked after, was left to his own devices in the Imbota Forest.  Lucky he had the toothpaste behind his ears to ward off the bunyips – he put in a good effort anyway and learned not to trust the start line promises.  The rest of Go (Jo Wauch and Ralph) worked like a finely oiled machine, leading the entire race until Chicka decided to engage maximum speed on a fly-by, the immense effort only aiding Adam in his win.  A broken Wilf still managed a useful 3rd place but the pace was a touch too hot for Mark “Mother” Jones as the group hunted Go.  Go managed 4th and 5th – fantastic ride from Jwoww.

The 3 minute group (Jack and Jackie) look like they need some handicap revising – Jack managed to latch onto a passing group while Jackie still struggles to find her criterium form.

Fastest time of the day was shared between Chris “Reigning Champ” Jones and Brent “Best” Weston in a tyre burning elapsed time of 47:14, Brent just managing to shade Chris as they crossed the line together.

Thanks to the Benhams (Jo and Matt) for running the race but I’m not sure what the secret encoded message on the result sheet is – it looks like some kind of DaVinci code thing (look, there’s grapes, an Easter Island statue, some flowers and what look to be games of tic-tac-toe being swamped by a whirlwind.  Either that or it’s a radical new mountain bike tyre tread pattern, you decide.

IT'S FREAKING ME OUT DUDE
