The Walcha Road Bike Challenge is a new event to be held on Saturday 27 October as part of the Walcha Mountain Festival weekend (the Mountain Bike teams race is the following day). It is an organised road ride with police approval, and features the loop from Walcha to Kentucky via Terrible Vale, on to Walcha Road and back to Walcha, 75km all up.

As many of us know, this is a very nice course – you can call in at the Walcha Road Pub for a cool drink before attacking the final leg back to the finish (but make sure you don’t get into a shout with Ralph Rubie).
