We’re a bit late in reporting this news, but Sam Jenner and Mitch Bullen have both finished their highly successful track seasons with some great performances.
Sam represented NSW at the Junior Track National Championships in Adelaide at the end of February, winning a bronze medal in the JM17 team pursuit, and then qualifying 5th fastest for the individual pursuit, missing out on the medal ride off round by a fraction of a second.
And Mitch represented Australia at the Track World Championships in Russia, also at the end of February. Mitch was part of the team sprint squad which finished in 4th place, and then raced in the individual sprint where he posted the 9th fastest qualifying time. Just to emphasise that – that’s 9th fastest … in the world!
Many of us remember Sam and Mitch riding around the track learning their racing skills as little blokes, so it’s great to see them doing so well this year. They have both done themselves great credit along the way.
