Last Saturdays handicap race on Long Swamp was won by newcomers Andrew White from Ky Ho, with Gareth Kelly in third place, no doubt helped by the handicap super brain Bob Murison, who managed to keep a big chasing bunch well off the back for the entire race. Andrew and Ky started at 2 minutes, had caught the Go group just after the halfway mark and were never caught after that.
Grafton cycling club will be holding the Mauri Kautto team time trial on the 9th of June (that’s next weekend) so if you’re keen to put a team together you don’t have much time to get an entry in.
The Coffs Harbour club has reminded us that their cycling festival in August has a good range of challenges (not races per se) at varying distances from 100km to 20km. August will be perfect for escaping the winter in Armidale and having some fun on a bike.
