Sam “The Jennerator” Jenner has taken out the overall classification in the Junior Mens 17 category at the state titles. Sam Munday also competed in this tough event.
Lachlan Harris and Sam King also took the trip to Inverell to fly the flag for Armidale and put in fighting performances in what looked to be a tough series of races.
(my apologies to Sam Munday – left him off the results!)
Jenner Started with a win in the time trial, pulling off 5th place in the criterium and coming second in a sprint finish in the road race on Sunday, which netted him the overall win from Scott Cameron of the Illawarra Cycling Club. Well done our new State Champion Sam Jenner!
Lachlan Harris and Sam King managed 13th and 14th in the time trial in the JM13 category, 11th and 12th in the criterium and 12th and 13th in the road race on Sunday. Well done boys for keeping those other clubs honest!
(thanks Dave Jenner) Sam Munday also went to Inverell to compete in the JM17 events, a brave effort from him. He recorded 27th in the time trial, was DNF’d along with a lot of other riders in the criterium and a creditable 23rd in the tough road race.
