Armidale Cycling Club rider Mitch Bullen came away with 2 more medals at the Track National Championships in Adelaide on the weekend – A bronze in the Mens Individual Sprint and a gold in the Mens Team Sprint with NSW team mates Jamie Green and Andrew Taylor who took that honour for the second year running. Only 6 days ago Mitch was in Mexico at the World Cup and the 23 hour flight back home and the subsequent jet lag wasn’t the perfect preparation in the lead up to the event, making these results even more impressive.
The long team for the World Championships will be announced very soon and this group will then head off to Perth for a 1-week camp from the 9th February after which the shorter team to travel to Cali, Columbia for the World Titles from 26th February – 2nd March. It doesn’t end there for Mitch, with selection for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games being decided in May.
Congratulations Mitch on a fantastic performance and good luck in your build up for the World Championships!
