…until the 2014 Armidale Cycling Club 2014 Club Championships. In a welcome move by cycling NSW, the weekend of Saturday 28th June has been reserved on the Cycling NSW calendar to allow clubs to host Club Championship events without clashing with NSW Open events. We can therefore expect a great roll-up for Senior Racing (juniors deferred until the warmer months) in less than 2 weeks time.
So you still have time to blow that sawdust off your rollers, shake off those winter blues and limber up for a great Saturday afternoon of competitive racing. Can last year’s winner, Sam Jenner defend his A-Grade title with serious competition from fellow NRS rider Harrison Munday? Will the perennial greats of Houlty, Sir Wanny, or the Cannibal himself demonstrate their superior tactical nous and cause an upset, or will San Remo continue his blistering run of form and leave us all in his wake? Can Jack Parker get back on his bike to fend off perennial chaser Dene Bourke yet again in B-Grade and can Jo Wauch carry the mantle in C-Grade for a further year? So many questions, so many unanswered, and we haven’t even mentioned Kirky. Showdown, Saturday June 28th, 2014 – don’t miss it!
Watch out for further updates soon as with 3 events (criterium, time trial and road race) to be held, we will likely need to start around 1pm.
