UPDATED: Incredible News! Such is the power and universal pull of Armidale Cycling Club, that despite only selling a handful of tickets, this special, one-time screening of the film Mamil at Belgrave Cinema is going ahead on Monday June 18th 2018 at 6:30pm!
Yes, you read that correctly. The undisputed Mecca of Australian cycling, Armidale NSW, has achieved what our larger metropolitan clubs couldn’t do – we’ve got ourselves a private viewing of this box office masterpiece and you get to see it for a paltry $20 plus as many choc tops and bags of quality-carb-popcorn as you can eat*
MAMIL (Middle Aged Men in Lycra) was made by Nickolas Bird and Eleanor Sharpe, both from Adelaide, and is narrated by cycling journalist and commentator, Phil Liggett. The movie is a light-hearted, yet insightful, look at the secret lives of MAMIL’s in their natural habitat’. Middle-Aged Men In Lycra’ are thrust front and centre stage in this 98-minute feature film that focusses on personal reflections upon why we ride.
We’d love to see you in the audience, and would really appreciate you helping to spread the word. Tell your other friends and have them join us for this special one-time screening of Mamil! Thanks for all your support!
