For round 1 of the InterClub Tri-Series, Tamworth and Armidale club riders hit the Crit City circuit for 12 laps of graded scratch riding. Apart from there being series points up for grabs, this would give riders a riders a chance to get a ZwiftPower rating, which will be used in the next 2 rounds as we move to a graded handicap format.

All up we had a solid turnout of 22 riders. Tamworth took a clean sweep of the podium in D grade, as Armidale’s Mark Haydon couldn’t overcome his hangover to make the 8am start, while A grade was the reverse with Armidale taking out the top 3 spots. C grade saw Armidale and Tamworth share the spoils with just 2 riders. B grade was a more congested affair, and with a strong Armidale contingent of experienced Zwifters, they were able to make their presence felt with strong results across the board

With this weeks hors d’oeuvres out of the way, next week we move to the main course – graded handicap racing using the Zwift meetup functionality for a private InterClub race where club riders will go head-to-head.
