More information below.
A grade
This year A grade will be run in a team format, with teams nominated so far from the Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Inverell, and Tamworth clubs. In a coup for the event we will also be welcoming an Indian national team who are currently in Australia preparing for the Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi later this year.
Armidale will be led by Andrew Kirk, and will feature Geoff Straub, Mick Hoult, Dave Munday, and John Scott-Hamilton in the latest incarnation of the famous “Captain Kirk and Klingons” team. With a combined age of almost 200 it will be interesting to see how the “boys” go against their younger opposition.
Junior and Novice races
The Junior and Novice races will be run in age groups, with U15’s and U17’s in the Juniors, and U11’s and U13’s in the Novice. Riders will be competing for separate prize money within age groups, and must ensure that their gears are correctly restricted. Roll outs will be checked before the start.
McDonald’s Northern Region Criterium Series
The Autumn Festival Criterium is the final round of the McDonald’s Northern Region Criterium Series. See the Coffs Harbour web site for more details.
ACC members
As usual we need as many Armidale members to turn up from 7.30am on the day to help with course preparation. We will also be having a meeting from 5.30pm this Friday at the bike shop.
Post race function
Presentations will be held immediately after A grade on the course.
We will also be having a get together from 4.00pm at the Armidale Bowling Club for a few cool drinks and to finalise a few ACC awards from last year (ie. the missing trophies from the Christmas Party!). Riders from other clubs are most welcome to come along.
