As many of you would know, the Saxo Bank cycling team are notorious for their off season commando style training camps. Here at the Armidale Cycling Club we do things at a slightly more relaxed pace which is why instead of parachuting into the wilderness of south western Tasmania for a week long trek with only a Swiss army knife for company, we’re going for a ride to the Walcha Road Pub where we’ll meet our significant others and families for a meal.
The date set is Saturday 28 November, and we will be leaving around 12.30 from Richardson’s on Bundarra Road. The ride is either 70 or 80km depending on which way we go, so it will take around 3 hours. Juniors who might find this distance too far might like to get a lift to Kentucky and ride the last 20 or so km on a quiet road.
If you would like to come please let us know (with numbers) by Saturday21 November. All are welcome but get in early because there may be a limit on the number of people the pub can cater for.
