The Armidale Bowling Club hosted the cycling clubs night of nights on Sunday, with a medals and trophies distributed followed by dinner. In addition to the club champions receiving their trophies, the Presidents Award was given to Mick Hoult and the club “Person of the year” awarded to Karlee McMillan. Full results over the fold:

Special thanks was given to the crew who helped our intrepid Grafton to Inverell competitors (Nick Myhill and Wilko amongst them). Mick Hoult’s Presidents Award was given on the basis of his strong overall year with several excellent results in events outside of Armidale. Karlee received the Club Person of the Year for her participation in the organisation of the Juniors sub committee.
Thanks was also given by the Juniors to Andrew Swan, Peter Wilkinson, Dave Jenner and especially Al O’Hara for their efforts in organising and running the junior racing at the driver training centre throughout the year.
Peter Wilkinson, in return, fully sponsors one junior each year for their club membership based on their participation. This year he awarded it to Freya Weston. Freya not only races every weekend with the juniors, but often helps out with the seniors scoring which is highly appreciated.
Club Champion Andrew Kirk, with a final show-boating flourish, arrived late to receive the Jock Bullen trophy now engraved with his name, along with a bright yellow Champions jersey and a bonus pair of socks that appear to have been custom made for him.
