It was a great weekend in Bathurst for ACC with Jo Wauch and Col Maciver both winning their age groups in the NSW Hill Climb championships, while Sam Jenner was third in the U17M. Sam capped off yet another successful carnival winning the U17 criterium after riding strongly to force a two man breakaway, and placing second in the 60km B2B event.

The only downer was that it took so long for Cycling NSW to confirm the results of the Hill Climb for some of the masters categories, including Jo’s, that in the end they decided not to have a medal presentation (or even announce the medalists). Luckily those of us in the know realise how hard Jo has worked to achieve this result, so be sure to offer your congratulations next time you see her.

Col and I also rode in the long course B2B on Sunday, finishing the 110km in just over 3 hours. Col put in another impressive effort in the final, riding the last 2km with a flat rear tyre!
