Mountain Bike Ride

The Aus/NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants have now opened up the Tour de North West mountain bike ride to the general public which means anyone is now able to register. The ride sets out from Petersons Winery and takes a 30 or 64k loop which finishes back at the winery for a gourmet BBQ lunch and entertainment. The event will raise funds for melanoma research and is being supported by local firms Roberts & Morrow and Forsyths as well as by Armidale Bicycle Centre.

It looks like being a great day out and great value too – for the $65 entry fee you get a CA cycling jersey, morning tea at the half way point of the long course, gourmet BBQ lunch, live band entertainment, a free wine or beer and a donation to the Melanoma Institute. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s on the long weekend and is the day of the NRL grand final so will be a good build up to the game later on that day!
