Armidale U17 women’s rider Katherine Hosking put in a great performance in all 3 disciplines at the 2016 Junior Road National Championships in Bendigo this weekend. Qualifying as a result of winning the U17 NSW state road race just 3 weeks ago she finished 17th out of 37 riders in Friday’s 13km ITT, just 1m:34s down on winner Jemma Eastwood.

Then yesterday in the road race she finished 20th out of 36 starters just a few seconds off the back of the bunch that was contesting second place after Eastwood solo’d off the front to win in commanding style.  Katherine then showed good strength to top off the weekend with an excellent race in the criterium today, coming over the line in 11th place in a bunch sprint where the top 15 riders were all given the same time.
