Sibling Rivalry at its Best

Good weather with light winds last weekend meant that there was a good turn out at junior cycling, and strong legs all round resulted in a number of PB’s. Nick, Lucas & Marcus all recorded new PB’s, with all the other riders coming close. However, the standout was new recruit Emma McInnes from Inverell who blitzed the 1.2km circuit in 2:08.

The rest of the session was spent firstly working on side by side riding and drafting in pairs. Nick & Oliver R rolled nicely together, although there some competitive riding from the Blair siblings when paired together! This was followed by splitting into 2 groups of 4 to practice rolling turns. There was lots of enthusiasm as riders hit the front resulting in some tough gaps to close down, but everyone was closely marshaled by Swanny and myself and everyone enjoyed the experience of riding like a “peleton” as Liam, Oliver B & Lucas enthusiastically proclaimed.

Many thanks to Andy Robb for filling in for Bullo on the weekend along with submitting this junior report.
